6.1 Magnitude Earthquake in Iran
Near Iranian city of Kirmanshah was an epicenter of an 6.1 magnitude earthquake. The earthquake was also felt in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
According to the IRNA news agency, Kirmanshah region administration said that at least 2 people lost their lives and 58 others were wounded. It is stated that the depression center is a point between Tazeabad and Cevanrud cities of Kirmanshah region. Both cities are located close to the Iran-Iraq border. Iran’s Emergency and Natural Disaster Management has reported to Press TV that 5 rescue teams have been sent to the region.
It is important to remember, that more than 400 people lost their lives in the earthquake of 7.3 magnitude in November 2017 on the Iran-Iraq border.
