Hundreds of Turkmens Protest Against The Kurdistan Flag in Kirkuk-Ershad Salihi Invites people to Armed Resistance
Araz News:Hundreds of Turkmen people waving Turkmen and Iraqi flags took to the streets in Kirkuk to protest against the unofficial vote by the Kirkuk local government to raise the flag of Kurdistan over state buildings.
Many of the protesters have staged a demonstration in front of the govern orate building where on Tuesday the local government raised the Kurdistan flag alongside the Iraqi flag on 29 March 2017.
Ershad Salihi the Iraqi Turkmen leader and secretary general of the Iraqi Turkmen invited people to armed resistance against Greed by Kurdish parties in Turkmen regions.
He is so popular among Iraqi Turkmens people and he strongly expressed that the only way of freedom is weapons.
The illegal actions of Kurdish parties in Kirkuk’s parliament based on the raise the flag of Kurdistan in government offices in the city sparked hundreds of Turkmens protest against this action.
İt should be noted that the Turkish Foreign Ministry also released a statement and reacted to this issue.
Second Vice President of Iraq Mr. Osama al-Nujaifi stated that raising the flag of Kurdistan over state buildings is Contrary to the principles of solidarity and national unity and he added that the multi-ethnic city of Kirkuk is home to Turkmen, Kurds, Arabs and among others.
