Iran says should prepare new methods to fight Saudi Arabia back
Araz News: An Iranian official said threats from Saudi Arabia are finding new ways of expression and Iran has to prepare new methods to fightback.
Saudi Arabia’s foot print has been found in Iran’s domestic conflicts, Brigadier General Qolamreza Jalali, commander of Iran’s Passive Defense Organization said.
He asserted that Saudi Arabia works against Iran because of a number of differences, ranging from ideological, to security and economic affairs, Fars news agency reported June 27.
Saudi activities against Iran occur online as well, he said, adding as an example that during a recent series of riots in the western city of Mahabad, 80 percent of online calls meant to agitate the local people originated from Saudi Arabia.
Jalali also commented on the US role in the standoff between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
“They have bases in the Persian Gulf and the bilateral threat has turned Iran and Suadi Arabia into two hostile neighbors,” he said.
Jalali further went on to quote a military magazine saying that Saudi Arabia has bought and stored as much weapons as China.
“This turns Saudi Arabia from a regional rival to a proxy threat against which we must prepare new defensive models,” he stated.
