ARDABIL, South Azerbaijan

Araz News: Azerbaijani poet and national activist Alireza Bakhshi died as a result of heart failure in the city of Ardabil.

According to South Azerbaijani news outlet Guanz Tv News, the forty-year-old activist passed away in Ardabil Hospital on Monday, June 1, 2015.

Alireza Bakhshi was a well-known member in the Azerbaijani rights movement and maintained cordial relations with activist from all walks of life, particularly poets and lovers of Turkic literature.

The deceased poet Alireza Bakhshi wrote  nearly 50 poems and his work will be officially published under the pseudonym “Aji Sechimlar.”
