Iranian destroyer in Gulf of Aden blows war siren after detected attack
Araz News via Trend: The Iranian warship Alborz in Gulf of Aden blew the war siren after detecting a “terror boat” approaching it from the side of the Yemeni shore.
The ship was on a voyage as one of the ships belonging to the Iranian Navy’s Fleet 34, Fars news agency reported May 13.
Although it is traveling in international waters, warships especially from the US have been approaching the Iranian fleet in the past few days.
The Iranian fleet discovered a boat approaching them at top speed when they decided to adopt a position of battle and blow the war siren after warning the boat.
The fleet’s commander First Caption Mostafa Tajeddini probing the area detected people inside the boat lying down in a position that indicated an attack. But later on the boat turned around and left the area.
On May 9, US and French destroyers in the Gulf of Aden near Yemen were given warning from the Iranian fleet.
The Iranian 34th fleet, which was passing 30 miles distance from the Gulf of Aden, was encountered by the two destroyers which sought to breach the five-mile standard distance from the Islamic Republic’s fleet, but the Alborz destroyer warned them and they were forced to change their route, Iran’s Fars news agency reported May 10.
