Araz News: Formula 1 European Grand Prix will be held in Baku on July 17, 2016, a statement posted on the Formula 1 official website said.

The project of urban highway, which will stretch in the center of Baku, has been prepared by Hermann Tilke’s architectural firm.

The competitions, to be held in Baku, are distinguished by their uniqueness. Along with Monaco and Singapore, Baku will also host a race.

During the race in Baku, the cars will move in parallel with the boulevard and make a circle around the Old City, a national historical and architectural reserve, which is considered the most ancient part of Baku and included into the list of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites, so spectators and guests can observe the whole city during these competitions.

It should also be stressed that Formula 1 is one of the most popular television events in the world.
