Araz News: Azerbaijan is fully ready to host the Olympic Games, Raul Valentin Sus Dolcet, Spanish team official at the First European Games in Baku told Trend June 23.

Sus Dolcet said he expected that the European Games in Baku will be wonderful and his expectations were justified.

He said that great conditions have been created in the Athletes Village.

The Spanish team official said he would like to visit Baku again in the future for any international competitions.

He said Baku is a very modern city, adding that Azerbaijan has a chance to become an attractive tourism destination.

The European Games kicked off June 12 and will last till June 28. There is a total of 20 sports at Baku 2015: 16 Olympic sports and four non-Olympic sports.

More than 6,000 athletes from across Europe came to Baku to represent their nations over 17 days of competition. Baku was awarded the games by the European Olympic Committees (EOC) in December 2012.
