TABRIZ, South Azerbaijan

Araz News: A number of fans of Tabriz’s football team, Tractor Sazi, are traveling the 730 km distance between the cities of Qom and Tabriz by foot to see their team play.

The 8 Tractor Sazi fans, all of whom are Turks from the cities of Qom and Shahriar, embarked on their journey on Tuesday and plan to arrive in Tabriz by Friday to attend the final match for the top seat in the Iranian Premier League between Tractor Sazi and Naft Tehran at Sahand Stadium.

Last week, Tractor Sazi fan Shahriar Abbaszadeh travelled 890 km on foot from Khodaferin (Qaradagh) to Tehran to watch Tractor Sazi play Esteghlal Tehran.

Tractor Sazi has become the unofficial football team of South Azerbaijan and maintains one of the largest and most loyal fanbases in Iran.
