USA, Russia, France: No one recognizes independence of Karabakh
Araz news: The OSCE Minsk Group considers intensification of a dialogue between the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
According to Oxu.Az, the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs have issued a joint statement following the meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.
“We have informed the ministers about the importance of intensification of a dialogue of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan and continuation of the preparations of the agenda of the meeting of presidents at the end of this year”, the statement reads.
In line with the statement, the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on the meeting with the co-chairs and definition of the agenda of the meeting of the presidents and also welcomed the co-chairs in the region.
The co-chairs also announced that they won’t recognize the results of the ‘parliamentary elections’ in Nagorno Karabakh which are scheduled for May 3.
“Our countries and other countries in the world do not recognize Nagorno Karabakh as an independent and sovereign state. These ‘elections’ do not determine the ultimate status of Karabakh or results of the negotiation process on the lasting and peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict”.
