Araz News: The Iranian Revolutionary Guards ground forces have killed five members of a PJAK (Party for a Free Life in Kurdistan) terrorist group in northwestern Iran on 13 June 2016.

Acceding to Araz News Agency report, Revolutionary Guards ground forces were seized a considerable amount of weapons in the following operation.

According to the report, the members of the group had earlier conducted assaults against people in the region, going as far as killing three members of local Basij forces (militia).

It should be noted that the PJAK terrorist group is one of the military branches of the PKK terrorist group in the Kurdish areas of Iran which are regularly targeted by Iranian forces in northwestern Iran. Most PJAK terrorist activities are done in the West Azerbaijan regions.
